Occasionally, you meet someone and you feel like you’re known them forever. Somehow, they have an “old soul”, and you know you’ll get along famously. That’s how I feel about this brave, darling young woman…Victoria. Her friends call her “Tori”, and she’s a graduate from Champion High School. Tori has three proud big brothers, and has a big personality that holds her own as their sole sister, adding, “I am very girly and feminine, even though everyone probably thought I’d be a tomboy with three brothers! I love fashion, design, and everything girly. My favorite thing ever is to have my whole family together, especially in the last few years, when my brothers have been at college and living far away. I truly treasure the time we get to spend together!”
At Champion, she’s been busy juggling dance team, her academics, and her part-time job at Ella Blue. Ella Blue is a local boutique here in Boerne, and it has some of the cutest new styles. Dance team has been a large part of her life, but due to some health concerns, Tori did not tryout for this last year. “I have been a dancer for most of my life, since I was three, and dancing stuck after trying many different sports. I was on the dance team for three years, but after being diagnosed with a heart condition, I felt I wanted to focus on my academics and my job, and working out to the level I was comfortable with”, she explains. Despite this challenge, she’s continued to work hard and not let it sideline her dreams. Currently, she’s exploring her options for college, and hopes to major in Interior Design or Architecture. One of her favorite high school memories is going to prom with her friends, last year, and she’s very proud of her many academic accomplishments in her time at Champion. She’s eagerly awaiting prom and graduation, and cannot wait to begin her next chapter of life at the college of her choosing.
